What is on offer? More details on qualifications with QwaB

SFEDI Awards, The Awarding Organisation for Enterprise has developed a suite of qualifications and learning materials specifically to support the QwaB initiative

As an Ofqual recognised Awarding Organisation SFEDI Awards offers a fast track approval process to organisations who are Centres with other Awarding Organisations. SFEDI Awards Centre status approval is £500/year or £1350 for 3 years, there is currently an offer to QwaB provider colleges of 50% reduction on these fees.

SFEDI Awards has been working with Credit Works to develop 4 qualifications that include the full range of units found within the Qualify with a Business initiative. These qualifications (listed below) are designed to give the learner maximum flexibility in their studies with a wide range of units, whilst also allowing them to gain maximum recognition at qualification level.

The Level 2 and 3 Awards in Aspects of Enterprise require two mandatory units (2 credits in total) to achieve and beyond the mandatory units the additional units include all those listed in QwaB. This allows the learner to create a study package suited directly to their needs or for a learning provider to design a suitable course/programme for a cohort of learners with specific shared interests.

The Level 2 and 3 Certificates in Preparing to Run Your Own Business are qualifications built on the units available within Aspects of Enterprise and offer an excellent progression from here, they also contain all units found within QwaB. These qualifications provide a full level of study in the various aspects of starting a business thus enabling learners to understand and be prepared to meet the challenges of self employment prior to actually starting to run a business.
